This has probably been asked but I'm new here and can only search back 30 days.

A M4 carbine with KAC RAS forearm,  a KAC verticle foregrip placed way too far out, an Aimpoint on a GG&G cantilever mount (often with the scope backwards in the mount) and a PVS-14 night vision monocular behind it on occassion.

The PVS14 was not real, it was a rubber model so studio guy took a real PVS14 from GG&G and made a few copies of it.

Man, that just looks silly.

I just always assumed that the Aimpoint mounted like that with the mount on the RAS was to provide clearence for the PVS-14 on the flat-top's rail.  Now that I looked at the screen shot, I'm like WTF.  I noticed something else: why is his web gear belt up so high, but his pants belt is low?

Web gear looks a little high, the reason the pant belt looks low, is because he using a drop leg holster.

Or maybe because it is JUST A MOVIE?

I've seen SEALs who like their 4grip way forward.  To each his own.  I've never seen one mount an Aimpoint backwards though.  I've never seen them use any GGG gear either. (no slam, I love my cantilever mount).  They paid former operators to train and monitor realism.  They must have not been around all the time.  Its just a movie anyway, with a laughable plot.

How do you make a JPG from a a dvd?

50 is stretchig it but there are plenty of Lts in the Marine Corps in their 30's and 40's that were senior enlisted.  Not the kind of people you want to screw around with...

I'm not familiar with the Aimpoint, but can it still be used when mounted backwards?  I just ask because I _think_ BW is left-handed, but I'm not sure.

Don't forget he had a PEQ.  I would say which one but I am truly ignorant. [BD]

Now I am not even sure it's a PEQ.  It also has a tiny but cute little rail on top of it. Awwww.

What about the scope used by the sniper that carried the M4 with the suppressor?
I can't place it.

He must have been concerned with "backwards compatability."

The grip on the handgun doesn't look like the MK23's I remember them using.  Also, he is carrying a knife on the web gear and another knife on his right hip.....

He's got an MG, a MK23, and one Reeves Yardborough...plus another knife....

That knife really looks bent.

The "sniper scope" looks like one of those POS 4x ones you see for $30.

You wear them high so the belt wont rub your hips raw.

From the brighter version of the pic it looks as though there's some sort of tape on the grip.

I don't remember what rank they cast him as.  He looks old like an O4. :)  Anyway, squid rank for the record:
O3-Lieutenant
O4-Lieutenant Commander
O5-Commander
O6-Captain
(O1's and O2's just don't count)

Similarly, I know more than a few Army Master Sgts and 1st Sgts in their mid 40's that you certainly dont mess with either.
