Teflon is PTFE. Polytetrafluoroethylene. But yeah, the J&T uppers match with anything not coated.

Ameetec is coated, Mega and Stag aren't.

J&T upper matches very well (perfect in my opinion) with DPMS, Eagle Arms, and of course, Double Star lowers.

And I assume that LAR Grizzly lowers match their own uppers.  If so, then the LAR Grizzly lower will match the J&T kit, because the upper I got from them certainly does.

Also, RRA lowers...

But I would get a Doublestar lower and have a "complete" Doublestar rifle.

Ok, well I have a Ameetec lower sitting at my FFL which I will pick up tomorrow, and a J&T Kit on the way - CC was charged Friday.

How bad a match is it gonna be?

Will it be bad enough that I need to order another lower and kit and build two?hich
Which lower will be the best match for the J&T?

I thought about DoubleStar lower, but couldn't find any online.

Thanks for suggestions.

I don't know....It looks ok with that color combo. The question is what kind of grouping...I mean groupies can it get?

+1...I just got a new RRA to mate up to a several year old J&T upper, and it matching color wise quite well...much better than any factory Colt gun I have seen.

That's odd...my J&T upper isn't even close to the same shade as my Rock River lower. The upper is more grey than black...

Try here or for a law enforcement marked one, here.  The online catalog doesn't say they're DoubleStar receivers, but that's what they are.
