in the G&A Surefire Combat Tactics magazine?

On page 68 you can see it and it looks almost like a Predator rail but it looks like it's still has the delta ring on.

Anyone know who makes it?

I was wondering the same thing for awhile. I think it might be the early prototype RAS II See Quarterbore's page: http://www.quarterbore.com/kac/kacrasii.html

Lumpy196, I think you're right! Good catch, I'd forgotten about those single level full length RAS II's!

I haven't seen the article, but might it be the Surefire hanrguard prototype made by Jack, I mean Dick Swan of ARMS? I heard that ARMS is making Surefires new handguard. ls

Now those two things make no sense at all, but does show great imagination on someones part. Jack

Actually, I don't think the SF has a top rail that goes to the upper receiver. It's more like an RAS in every way, except it locks into the front handguard cap and free floats the barrel.

I agree the whole "Jack is Dick" thing is old. I don't think he is Dick Swan. I do think he/she/they are bucking for job(s) at ARMS or are Mr. Swan's butt kissing lakeys. It's not that he's wrong 9at least not on technical issues), it's that jack is arrogant and clearly very biased against anything other than ARMS. His incessant and excessive praising of ARMS and obvious disregard for KAC products is just plain annoying.

Perhaps I can help. I took a Hack class this past weekend, and here is a picture of the man and his rig... It was about the most fun one can have with your clothes on. More pics here. In the group photo I'm bottom 1st on left sporting a shiite eating grin. One of my brothers is next to me with the thumbs up. http://home.comcast.net/~mgmayo/photos3.htm My memory is that his light/vert. grip combo was this one: http://www.surefire.com/maxexp/main/co_disp/displ/carfnbr/266/prrfnbr/994

An individual that handled Hackathorns rifle at a class confirmed on Lightfighter that it was indeed a protype RAS II.

Now, I want to know what type of pants Ken was wearing in the pic above.[:D] They don't look like RR 5.11 because it looks like it's missing some pockets...
