If you could only have 2 AR's, and 1 was an M4gery, what would the other be?

I'm torn between a 16" lightweight, a 16" mid-length, or something SPR-ish.

I already have a .223 bolt gun, so a varmint upper really doesn't interest me right now.

Suggestions?

(I wouldn't do this, but somehow as I was building the first one, I ended up with an extra lower.....)

20"A2.

Yup, 20" A2.

I'd take a Recce over an M4gery any day off the week.

I chose a 20" A3 to go along with my carbine but I leave the carry handle on and shoot with irons. I just wanted the flexibility for optics if I choose to go that route later

M4gery was built to fill a specific niche, and so far it does so perfectly.

As for the A2, I had an A2 and an A1 long ago, and didn't ever have any real sense of attachment to 'em.

Decisions, decisions......

if one is an M4Gery, the second would be an A2 or A4gery

16" midlength or 18" SPRish

If you already have the .223 bolt rifle, then I don't see the point of a 20" AR.

My A2 is in the very back of the gun safe. Hasn't been fired in over 10 years now.

My choice would be a mid-length version. I'll have one before the end of the month. I promise it won't be a safe queen.

Getting rid of my SPRish at this week ends gun show (hopefully). Hoping to replace it with a 20" A3. Decided to keep it simple.

This is funny.

I'm looking through the EE and several websites, and keep saying 'no, no, don't want that, too long, too heavy, too expensive, too redundant....

Hmm.....

You should through down the extra two benjamans and build a SBR. Who in their right mind would not want a AR15 SBR.

14.5" is short enough to use from a vehicle.

Since I'm not a door-kicker (far from it!) I think I can do without the benefits of having a SBR.

I'm really starting to like the idea of another 14.5" carbine. I'm not sure why that is, though.
