This is the stock on my A4 clone. I've had probably at least 4 years and for the life of me I cannot remember where I got it from.

I almost done with my A2 rifle clone, I just need to order a barrel and a stock. It is going to bug me if the two stocks are not identical. If anyone here has one like it that can tell me what kind is it?

This is going to be my 4th and last AR ( I mean it this time).

ETA: this is not a aluminum door (that would mean not Colt right?) All the parts on the butt are plastic.

First time I've seen a hexhead for the upper screw.  Hmmm....

Looks like just a normal ole A2 stock to me.  But I'm guessing that is not quite what you're looking for.  FWIW it looks smooth, like my colts.  Whereas some of the A2 buttstocks I've seen out there are kind of......  textured just a little bit.

I have one of those... Hated it because it would dig into my shoulder.

Sorry no idea where it comes from.

Looks like the one I got from Rock River... but the screw is different.

I got a Hex Screw just like that from CavArms.  In fact even the Bottom Screw has the same Hex size.

YFS screws are Chinese made and typically come on Chinese made products.  Typically. . .

Probably the same stock everyone sells (bushmaster, dpms, stag, cmmg, etc) that has the plastic rear door.  The only ones I've seen that were different were early Colts that had aluminum butt plates/rear door, but that is the first time I've seen one with an allen head bolt holding it to the receiver extension.  Kinda odd.

That would be an Windham stock. Not sure about that hex screw though.

So if you are right, assuming Bushmaster, DPMS, CMMG etc all get their stocks from the same place I assume that means all the stocks are Chinese?

My RRA stock had a plastic butt plate, however it uses a flat head screw with a hole drilled through it to attach to the buffer and spacer.

How's the quality of the RRA stock? I thinking about getting a set of their OD furniture for my in-process middy build.

Not necessarily. The stocks may be of any nation of origin, but the hardware is Chinese.

A metal trapdoor doesn't signify Colt only. I had a DPMS complete lower assembly that I bought brand new with an A2 stock that had a metal trapdoor.

And I think there were some others at some point that had them. I owned a Sendra anodized low shelf pre 86 lower that came with a no name (at least that I saw) A2 stock with aluminum hardware/butt plate. With as many different contractors as there are/were that have made parts, it would be about impossible to note every manufacturer/contractor that made something.
