I have a 18" douglas barrel/colt upper SPR and I was wondering if I could expect this kind of accuracy out of it?

Free, If you get the above, I would be happy than a pig in sh** Realistically, 3" at 300 would be good. I have a Krieger on order for mine. The stock Colt isn't cutting it for me. I expected that, so no real disapointment. It gave me 3/4" with Blackhills bluebox 55 gr and 1 1/2" with the 77gr OTM at 100, not consistent. It's my understanding that the 1n9's will work with the 77grs if you jack the velocity up on them. Mark

If the rifle was put together right, if you use decent ammo (like Black Hills match), and if you're good enough to shoot a group like that - Then yeah your SPR should be able to do it.

I get sub half inch groups at 100 yds out of mine when I do my part. Usually I get the first threee in one hole, toss one out to 1/2", then put the fifth back through the first hole. I have an 18" CLE Douglas barrel.

Mark, drop down (or move up) to 69grn and see how you do. Should be the accuracy sweet-spot for your 1:9. Tom

Tom, I have some 69 SMK's in the garage, just have to load them! I tried the PMC loads that use the SMK's and they did well in another rifle. I got an average of .6" shooting eight five shot groups with those and the same with my handloads. three were .3 to .4" I was talking to Sam Dayton the other day and he was ordering a few Kriegers, he said that he's never seen a bad one. So with the price that he's getting them for, I couldn't resist. Mark
