HI Guys.
I'm curious to see what is your favorite AR-15 pistol grip, nd why?  I have a CAA G27 grip.  I like it better then the stock grip, but perfer the rubber feel of the hogue.

I like the Magpul MIAD.  It fits my hand really well, and it looks great.

Me too.  For short missions it's not biggie, but my middle finger gets chewed up in an all day class!  I just jam an earplug in there however!

I am going with the A2 also.  I am not too big into the aftermarket bling.

My favorite grip is the Magpul MIAD, I have two carbines with that grip

My second favorites are the Duck Bill and the A1 grips

A1. I can't stand having something rub betreen my fingers while shooting.

I like the G27 as well....I also have a couple of the FAB AG-34 (or whatever they are, the are very similar to the G27)

I am not into the bling either....just grips that feel good in my hand. I do admit that I am doing an OD and a tan build, so I do give some merits on looks, but the looks still are a distanct second to function/feel.

They are not the most popular on the block...but I don't care. I really like them.

I like the G-27 as well - it seems to fit my big hands better than most other grips.

My favorite is the Colt ACR which is the same side profile as an A2 but it is wider, second would be the MIAD. I have big hands.

it's not the sexiest choice, but my favorite is the overmold Ergo (The one that LMT lowers now come with).

My second fav is the MIAD, and i've tried a lot of others- A1, A2, Hogue, Tango Down...

Nope Ramline is THE ugiliest.

Personally, I like the one that has the little hinged trap door, the company no longer manufacturers it.

I guess I need to search for an A1 grip. I hate the bump in my standard grip, my hands are small and it is uncomfortable. Plus, my son's hands are real small. I never wanted to pay $30 for a tango down, just to lose the bump. I figre A1 should be like $5, just like the standard.

MIAD, flat front strap, big back strap, no question. Made a huge difference in control over the A2. I might try CAA's modular grip on my next AR, but chances are I'll end up with another MIAD.

I have to thank you guys for showing me the A1 grip. I just ordered two of them for $5 each. I never knew there was a standard grip without that annoying bump. I'm going to be the happiest AR owner ever. I may one day try the TD battlegrip, but for now, $5 is way better than $30 just to lose the bump. I just hope that these surplus A1 grips look OK. They have a hole in the front of the grip at the bottom, is it there for a specific reason?

eta: a picture of what I ordered:

if every shot was going to be made using my right hand on the pistol grip...

SPR without a doubt.  I have wookie sized mitts and that's the grip for me.

For ambidextrous use I have the slimmer old Ergo grips on my general purpose ARs.   However when I have money to spare I'll upgrade to the Magpul grip with the web filling piece installed, ergos are a little too thin for my preference.

Old A1 and A2 grips leave my hand filling like they could wrap around the grip twice and still come around to hit the trigger, hate them.

I used to think that I would NEED to spend the extra cash on a Magpul MIAD or TD Battlegrip, but I find the standard A2 grip to fit my hand perfectly.

On those Magpul grips, is the trigger guard made of metal or plastic?

Tango Down grip on my carbine, A1 on my retro; thinking of swapping the TD for a MIAD.

A1 with a gapper or a Duckbill grip.  They're comfortable for me.

I just got a Bushmaster lower with an A2 grip.  I'm going to keep the A2 grip on for now and try it.  I will be putting a gapper on it.

Got my A1 grips today. I have to say, I assumed that surplus items would have been in a little better shape. One is in decent shape, so I put it on my lightweight for my son to use. I may end up getting that Tango Down, just to lose the bump on the front.

Anyone ever dremel off the A2 bump?

I grind the texture off the side and the bump off the front, and retexture with a soldering iron. It's my current favorite grip, mostly cause I'm cheap.

The Sierra Precision is a close second, though. Like another poster said, if I just knew I'd always be shooting righty all of my guns would wear them. My hands are like those of a Western Lowland Gorilla. Several people have mistaken my palm prints for Sasquatch footprints.

Nevermind the A2 conversion. Why didn't anyone post a pic one of these "duckbill" grips. I was going through the EE looking for good deals on grips when I came across the duckbill at PKFirearms. It is exactly what I want, and it is new, not scratched up surplus. I bet it feels better too. The surplus is a really hard plastic.

I found my new grip for a third of the tango down. I may still get a TD, it looks like it has the texture of their rail covers. I like the feel of the rail covers.
