Any ideas?  A take off from an old colt model of some type?  1-7 twist?

Post in the Retro forum.

It looks like a standard M16A1 upper - R603.  It has round handguards instead of triangular handguards.

Probably 1/12 twist barrel.

Pretty good deal.
