One of our guys is trying to get rid of this thing:

Preban Sporter 20". Governement profile barrel. Flat-side receiver. Colt pins, receiver block, no bayo lug.

95% condition. Nice rifle.

Thanks,

-Z

A quick look at the EE will reveal there are a lot of people trying to unload similar rifles.  They paid $1200, $1300 or more for theirs at sometime during the ban, and use this as justification that the rifle is a "deal" at $1000.  Bullshit.

It is worth what a 10+year old used rifle is worth.  If you can buy a new one for $800, it may be worth somewhere along the lines of $700.

There are a few states that still have AWB.  This rifle may be worth marginally more in those states.  In this case, it may be an $800 rifle in NY.

Some people are willing to pay more for the Colt logo.  I think its bull.  The frikked up non standard pins sizes negate any possible advantage in having a Colt.

Sounds like an R6551 Sporter Target model. The previous $700-800 estimate of value is probably realistic.
