I need a little more info but the two models of factory Colt semi auto 9mm's that I know of are; The Sporter type, model# R6430 made in the early 90's and the 9mm Carbine(AR15) model# R6450 made in the mid 80's. I had one of these back in '87. The problem is that I think the prefix for these 9mm Colts should begin with 'TA' and not NL so it could have been converted to 9mm before you owned it. In any case the serial number falls well below the NL cutoff so it is a preban lower.

Here in Canada we have registration ccertificates. Mine only says AR15A2 Sporter Lightweight .So I imagine that my rifle is a R6430 .The rifle is not a conversion as it sys 9mm on the reiciever.

Thanks for the help .

That's correct, if it says Sporter Lightwieght it is definetly a R6430. Nice rifle BTW!
