Me going to be:
Beretta magazines
HK USP9  with 15 rd mags
HK USP45 with 12 rd magazines

Not going to be exactly in that order but hell when I get the money thats whats going to be in my safe.

I want to get a reasonably priced 100 round double snail drum magazine.  $500+ is just too dang much.

I guess I'll have all my stripped lowers bought by then (4-5), so I'll probably start off with a preban A3 upper with SIR
http://www.bushmaster.com/shopping/uppers/pre-ban/bura3b16sir.asp and ACE fixed tube stock or perhaps the collapsable boom stock.  I'll also get an upper to shoot DCM matches with.  I'll put a folder on one of my FALs, probably my 16" carbine.

Colt Tactical and Colt M4. Beta mags

Of course I'll have to get more mags [:D] but I'm also going to get collapsible stocks to replace the faux one on my postbans.  Then, I'm going to finish all these stripped lowers that
I have laying around by building the following:

A XM177 and maybe a 11.5" SBR with collapsible stock.  I'm going to build a SPR and I'll put a collapsible stock on that too.

AR-15 with collapsible stock, flashider, bayonet lug. Im never gonna take the bayonet off BTW.

SR25K like lumpy.

Beg Armalite to make AR-10 uppers with the evil features.

Hi-Power 13 round mags.

AS MANY MAGS AS POSSIBLE.

A real Benelli M4 shotgun.

I want to buy LEO ONLY marked mags, and would like an AR so marked, too.  These will be perfectly legal for us citizens to own.  And later, if a new similar ban were ever passed, it would certainly gum up the works for everyone!  Let's see, civilians can own LEO marked items if made between '94 and 2002, but not if made after x date.  The only thing they could do is a complete, total ban, in which case... well, it will be war, and the armed citizens will win over the unarmed socialists.

Mb121, a couple of things...

You live in NY, just like me, so even if the Federal ban expires without replacement, we will still be restricted from owning any "assault weapons" or normal capacity magazines that have been manufactured after Sept. 13, 1994.

Remember that pesky state "assault weapons" ban that Albany passed a few years back.

Secondly, you ask the question " What is everyone going to buy when the ban is gone?"

This is not a forgone conclusion, my friend. As gun owners, there is a lot of hard work ahead of us....

Lots of letters to write, phone calls to make, faxes & e-mails to  send, money to donate, rallies to attend, friends to convert, arms to twist, etc...

First the work, then the reward. It can't & won't happen any other way!!!

BTW ZRH... this goes for you too.

Question: Assuming the ban sunsets, how many of us are going to get these previously banned items because we finally can (again),
or because we fear the next ban?

Come on man, what's up with this?!  We have an excellent opportunity to nip this thing in the bud but we won't get it done with this train of thought.  Are you just going to sit back, do nothing and leave the door open for the anti-gunners?

I'll tell you what to buy now, before the ban sunsets:  Saiga shotgun.   These, and any other mag fed semi auto shotgun are almost certain to be declared DD's by the ATF if the ban sunsets, using the same reasoning they did for the USAS.  Likely, the only reason the USAS and Striker shotguns are declared DD's by name rather than feature set is because the AWB had already made new manufacture of similar firearms illegal.   With the AWB out of the way, new firearms with identical features could then be legally manufactured.

I'll bet that it won't be long after expiration (maybe even before) that mag fed semi-auto's are declared DD's by feature set.  If that happens, you'll still need to register any existing ones, but if ATF follows historical precedent, they'll not require the $200 fee for the stamp.  As a "bonus", I believe you could also chop the barrel on a DD, so essentially gaining the ability to make an SBS for "free".  Of course, you're then on the books, for sure...

Heck, I'm buying some Mega lowers now! I'll be visiting my favorite notary public with all my newly completed rifles, taking pictures, recording serial numbers, and making a declaration that these rifles were assembled on this date. Several witnesses will be present to sign it also.

Assuming the ban DOES expire, though common sense tells me it won't sunset, rather it will probably get amended and become more restrictive. But if it does i will first sh*t a golden turd and then look to but at sometime or another buy the following:

1. AR180 in preban format
2. Franchi SPAS 12
3. HK 93A3
4. FN FAL (belgiun)
5. Assemble several AR varients

Wrong ban your thinking of. Hks, FNs, and etc. will all be still illegal.

The cruel truth about the AWB gun ban is that it took these guns away from the poor.  The rich can still buy anything they want including DDs.  They just have to pay the government for the privilege.  But they can afford it.

Another cruel irony is that the democrats that pushed the AWB on us wanted to keep those nasty black rifles away from their own constituents.

Boxer, Feinstein, Schumer, Kennedy, Hillary, Reno, et all have "Men in Black" walking around with them at all times.

The ban will sunset, and prices will go down.

Whishfull thinking:  Maybe the "post-ban" stuff will go up in value once the ban sunsets since it will then be collectible.  Sure you can make a post post ban look like a post ban, but it will really just be a clone.

I'll put the collapsible stock on my current gun and maybe someday get an HK93, although that's a different program. I might get a few more mags and other than that I don't have any specific plans yet.

Yes, somebody did.
And as to rearrange my thoughts:

More ammo
At least 12 C-Mags.  Providing the price comes down to under $200 each
More Ammo
Turn my Bolt Actions to belt-fed capable
More Linked Ammo
More 30 and 40 round magazines for my pistols.
More Ammo
Try to see if I can adapt any of my “Sniper-Weapons” to use C-Mags
More Ammo
More C-Mags
More Ammo
Another Credit Card to help finance the following purchases:
Another Bushy, Rocky River, ArmoredLight, Ollie, Calvary, etc in various shades of lowers.  And then to make “Whoopee”, with all sorts of uppers, stocks and so forth.  Some to become NFA goodies, some not.
And crates upon crates of .223/5.56 to shoot.
And Maybe .308 if there’s an AR10 that makes me smile.

I already posted this somewhere else on this site, but here it is again: I want an M9 slide with "Property of the U.S. Govt" stamped everywhere on it. That, and a PSG-1, maybe the price will drop below $10000, then maybe. Almost forgot to add, get more USP mags
