Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - What is a RR M4 upper worth?

I bought a RR M4 about a year ago and have it bad for an 18 inch RR varmit upper. I am dickering with a local gun shop. The upper is not chrome lined but has Surefire handguards. The bolt and carrier will go with it. Roughly 1000 rounds thru it. I don't want to get screwed over.

a gun shop will give you roughly half of what they can sell it for. So selling it to a shop or trading will cause you a loss on it. Realistically with the surefire m73 rail prolly worth 500 or so depending on what the actually upper is, got some pics to post?
