I know Tasco merged with another company, but they have a new website, and the Optima 2000 is not listed anywhere.

Tasco never manufactured the Optima they just impoerted it.  The same sight is now being sold under the name JPoint.  I think Brownell's has then as well as other places.  Docter Optics of Germany makes a similar sight, but their's is made of glass steel and aluminum instead of plastic.  The Docter sight is much more robust.
