Thinking about building my SBR again.

I was thinking about building this 7" when I had my 10.5". Since I am starting from scratch again, what do you think?

I would go with a barrel that has a 1/7 twist.  They only have a 1/9

I would do it, but I'd want a flash enhancer or Y comp instead of a flash hider.   Then get a bunch of M193.

Yeah I guess I'm a little bit of an obnoxious shooter

Msokolf13,

Personally I'd wonder how you would hit anything with a 7" barrel SBR!!! I assume your still useing a 223 round so when it goes bang it'll be the loudest mother you can think of!!!! To me it would be more of a sprayer instead of any weapon you would aim using the sights.

Not sure the twist rate evens matters here.................

I think the 7" DPMS is quite badass.

Wrong. 7.5" ARs can shoot MOA with a quality barrel as seen here:

If you're shooting a long enough bullet, sure it does.  Why wouldn't it?

I had a Kitty Kat. Had to open the gas port to get it running. I just built a 7.5" using a Rainier Ultra Match barre. It's 1/8 twist with a Wylde chamber. I highly recommend it. Accurate and uses a smaller gas port. Less gunk blowing back in the action and less wear on the fcg, at least thats my interpretation. I have no actual facts on this, just theory.

How much is it?

Because this just came out, is about $750, and I bet it will run fine right out of the box.
