I was hoping someone would help me with what brand of upper this is. I know LMT and Colt have 1/7 twist and T marks but are there any others? How can you tell what I have. I bought it off the EE and Im happy with it but would like to know its maker. I think its a LMT. Any help would be great. Thanks

Anything stamped into the reciever above the gas tube?

M4 ramps=Extended feed ramps like your upper has (as shown in the 2nd pic just above).

One more question.

Does it have an "F" stamped onto the other side of the FSB?

Nothing above the gas tube. The FSB has L3I1 on it but nothing on the outher side. other than the T markings there is nothing on the upper. I have a 6920 and it has all kinda little marks on it but this has nothing. Thats why I thought it was a LMT. But if someone else makes a 1/7 twist and T marks I might be wrong.

LMT uppers will say "LMT" in big white letters on the left side of the receiver.

+2 seems like an excellent upper regardless of who made it.

It's close to the LMT but there are differences from my LMT Defender 2000.

The barrel markings on mine starts with the MP then the 5.56 markings.

The T markings on mine have a bigger spaces between the T letter and the numbers.

Not all LMT uppers are marked with white letters on the front left side of the upper.

Could you still ask the seller at the EE what brand is it?

Ok. I see. Is CMT good? bad? How is the QC. As good as my Colt and bushmasters?

He told me he thought it was a LMT. But he was not sure.

It looks more like a CMT upper because of the T markings' style.

CMT is a supplier to Stag Arms, Colt and other major brands like RRA etc.

Their quality is up there with the major brands.

I just wanted to add that I noticed a letter "L" stamped at the left side of the barrel extension, which means that you have a LMT barrel.

Here's a pic of a LMT barrel extension with M4 feedramps by member Randall_Rausch.

So maybe it is a CMT upper with a LMT barrel?

You're correct. It's probably a CMT upper with definately sure it's a LMT barrel.

The "L" stamp at the 9 o'clock position of the barrel extension is the proof that it's a LMT barrel.
