Right now I have a Leapers 11-14" bipod on my 24" AR. Works pretty well for prone shooting, but when I best rest it and sit at the bench, the bottom of the butt is about 2-3" higher on my shoulder then it should be for a good, snig fit and cheek weld. I am looking at the Harris 6-9" bench rest version, but I'm worried that won't be high enough to clear the mag when benched or prone. So next logical step would be the 9-13", but would jsut 2" less make that much difference?
I would really like to only have 1 bipod for all situations. Is that realistic thought?
Anyone find themselves in that same position is the past? What did you do?
