What rings or mount are you using that gives you good eye placement but still gives you the availability if the optic fails to use backup sights on your flattop?

Not sure what height to get .. and if to get quit release rings or perminant?

Thanks,
John

Unless the optic your using is a true 1x you will not clearly see the front sight and the eye relief of most scopes prevent a flip up rear sight from being deployed.

As for proper height, 1.5" to center of optic is the optimum.

If you want to be able to transition to BUIS quickly and with out the need for tools then go with a quick release scope mount like the LT-104.
