I think most manufacturers have some roll marked for LEO/GOV only use. You usually have to ask for those.

ETA: If they aren't roll marked they are going to be laser engraved from my understanding.

I think Ameetec offers a nice LE marking. I think they are stamped instead of roll marked.  The ones that I've seen are  deep with clean letters. I've seen some Colt and BM LE marked lowers that have blurred markings.

Another cool factor with Ameectec is you can have a pistol registered LE marked lower if desired.

I recently purchased a LEO marked Bushmaster rifle.

I did not pay a premium for it, and would not have.

Given the choice between rifles otherwise identical in every way (including price) except for the LEO markings I would choose the marked one simply for the fact that it is a relic of an ill concieved and ineffective law that has now gone the way of the Dodo bird.

I am not going to try to pawn it off to people I shoot with as some kind of special police only super death ray gun.

Like I said it is a relic of a bygone era that I hope is never repeated, but LEO markings are not a must have that you need to get all bent out of shape about.

Based on the provisions of the AWB, all lowers manufactured between 1994 and 2004 -other than dedicated "post-ban" models-  had to have that roll-mark.

ATF Roll-mark requirements: LE Only

Those made since the death of the ban, either choose to keep it, or were originally intended for that use (see Colt)

Well, some people read too much into words.   "Cool factor" being if you want the LE markings just for shits and grins or whatever, Ameetec offers them in a pistol lower.  Just as I have a complete LMT LE marked rifle for collecting and because I can. Not because of the "CDI" or "OOOH".

Don't be a jackass.

Whats interesting is that most posers tell themselves they are not jackasses.

On the other hand, I have no problems with acknowledging that I am a direct, honest, SOB.

I wish someone would sell some that say "Nongovernmental Use Only."

My Stag Lower says "RESTRICTED FOR GOVERNMENT OR LAW ENFORCEMENT USE ONLY"

When I bought it, I had a choice of marked or unmarked, same price.  I took the marked, simply because it might add $5.00 or $10.00 to the value someday.

And its in the hands of a civilian, kind of an "UP YOURS" to the anti crowd.

Well, I can honestly say that I'm not a "poser"  or "wannabe" or whatever term you may wish to use. I have never been and don't dream about being an LEO, no disrespect to those that are LEO.

I really don't think that too many, including you Prickmanheir

posers.........

My RRA M4 lower is marked "RESTRICTED FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OR GOVERNMENT USE ONLY" on one side. The other side is marked "US PROPERTY".

I will admit, LEO or not, it is still a cool little marking to have.

Well then you better apologize. Stick is a full time LEO. He also knows a hell of a lot more about the practical uses of an AR then most people here. That happens when you carry one everyday for a living.

I can't understand wanting to have "US PROPERTY" stamped on on object that I paid for.

And that is why you don't have one then. Your tax dollars bought my RRA M4, not me.

It isn't that cool when a LEO wants to escort you home to get the receipt proving that you actually own the AR that only LEOs can own!!!  You can look forward to explaining the laws to a LEO that doesn't know what the Sunset of the AWB is

Oops! Stepped into that big hole didn't we? I would venture to say that there are a lot more guys here that carry or have carried them on a daily basis than you would care to realize.
