I was trying to get the cord on my light a bit more secure so I started messing about with some innertube...

I put a longer piece on the TD Vert Grip and put a piece of tube over the lights endcap which holds the cord tightly to the cap and keeps it channeled to the front and under the light itself. It lays pressed right against the forearm. I think this has greatly minimized the possibitity of snagging.

Then I put a piece over the bezel... Protection? I don't know, I just did.

Then I covered my other G-2 in it...

As we speak I am looking for things to cover with innertube...

My ASP may be next...

Nope, extreme South Alabama. I did live in Auburn while attending the better of AL's two Universities.

That looks functional.  I've never been a fan of remote switches for the reason you sited.  Plus I don't like the fact that the wiring can short out.

Your solution should minimize both of those problems.

It really is not as shiny as it appears. Not at all actually. I brightened the pic for more detail as well. It is not nearly as shiny as the metal surfaces of the light.

Tactical inner tube?
Naw, it would need Vecro for that.

Yep... Was that a serious question?

Mountain bike tube no less! Much more manly and tactical than a mere 10 speed tube!
