Was gonna buy the Holosun, but put an "offer" to an optics dealer on Ebay(spur of the moment) for 155- shipped for the Vortex and they accepted it . I understand these come with a couple different height options(absolute vs lower 1/3 cw), what's the best way to set up the mount? Going on a Colt 6720.

I just got mine for $160.  Arrived today.  I like lower 1/3 so I used the spacer.  Just be aware...even though I have not sighted in my rifle the lower 1/3 even looks like more of an absolute cowitness but will probably change once properly sighted in.  Either way, my BUS are folded down anyway so it doesn't really affect anything on my current setup.  On my rifles with a FSP, I always use lower 1/3.

Thanks. Hope I'll like the sight, pretty sure I will. The warranty and AAA battery are huge pluses for me, and the price was too good to pass up IMO for new in box.

If you don't like it, let me know. The Sparc AR is a great optic for the price. I too picked it up off ebay for $155. The guy ships it fast too. If you have a front sight post, use the spacer. If you have flip ups, do not use the spacer.
I agree the aaa battery and warranty are huge selling points, but wait until you handle it. You will/ should love it.

If you use this it will set the height at a low 1/3 height. I personally wouldn't worry about this, and if you did want it, I would suggest buying the combo from AD for 199, rather than buying the mount by itself, unless you can find it cheap.

They were sold out, and I already have the Sparc AR on the way. I will be getting one of those mounts down the rd though...

If you still have the standard FSB you will want to use the spacer to raise it up, with flip downs it probably won't matter.

Well, the Ebay tip made me take a look. I offered $295 for the Sparc AR + Vortex magnifier and was rejected, then offered $305 and had it accepted, free fast shipping.

So $305 for both the Sparc AR and the VMX-3T magnifier, shipped. I am happy with that.

That isn't a bad deal at all. Let me know if you can fit the magnifier, red dot, and BUIS on the receiver.

Yeah, I'll see if it fits with the MBUS. It is going on an Aero COP monolithic upper though, so I have more rail space without bridging the gap.

Just received the ARSparc from Vortex.  If you're a veteran check out their veteran's program because I got a great deal on it.  I'll put it on my AR-15 this week, but so far I'm impressed with the build quality.  I will go with the co-witness for sighting in with my fold up sights on my 16" barrel.  I like that it uses AA batteries and the battery life doesn't bother me.  Yeah it doesn't have a 50,000 hour batter life, but so what are you guy planning on going on 7 month deployments using one battery?  I've been there and done that with and ACOG but I'm not on deployments anymore so a 300 hour battery that is easy to replace works for me.  It sits in the closet and if I need it I can turn on the sight if needed.
