I posted this in another room as well, so please don't be mad :) I am new to the AR world, and I would like to build an AR on a Kali "legal" Fab-10 receiver, but I heard today that they are NOT legal, and a local gunshop was closed for making ar-15's on these receivers. Does anyone have REAL PROOF of this legal issue?? Thank you for your time.

As per CYA call DOJ and ask...

If it's not legal, why does each fab-10 receiver come with a DOJ letter of approval?

BTW, Gold Coast in Huntington Beach specializes in making CA-legal ARs. Why haven't they been hosed?

Maybe the store got closed for assembling guns for resale w/o the right license or paying the necessary taxes? And they just happened to be FAB-10 receivers?
