I went shooting today and stopped off at the local walley world and picked up a box of 223 40round "Value Pack"  the 45gr hp stuff
The thing that was strange was it is now 14.37 +tax    total     15.56

there was a topic about a month or 2 ago and was several pages of people stating they were getting it for 11.73 or 11.74 or some thing.

So I guess my question is did it go up all over or just here? Could it have been marked wrong?

If this is the new price can they still call it the "Value Pack" ?

It's less expensive if you shoot the 55 gr FMJ 40 rd value pack of .223 Rem.  The 45 gr HP is substantially more expensive.

It just happened around here. I bought some Value packs on Weds for the regular price, today they're the higher price.

OK guys we need not to buy ammo for one month ALL OF US. Then the prices would drop again. Supply and Demand can be a bitch when the supply is low.

The cost of lead is increasing, or so my stock broker tells me, I can't finda 5yr chart anywhere, but I have heard the same thing from a few people over the past year. Just wait until someone decides to force the sole sale and use of "green" ammo.

The local Wally World here in Orlando, FL still has the 40-round "Value Pack" (That's an insult to some) for $9.98, add the 6.5% sales tax and that rounds up to $10.65 for a box of 40 rounds of Winchester .223 Rem (Item No. USA223R1VP); which BTW, if nobody has noted, is made in...

Drum roll, please.

DR-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R!

ISRAEL!!!

Which is not bad, considering that Israeli (IMI) 9mm subsonic ammo is the best you can use on a 9mm with a can; plus they make excellent 7.62mm NATO Match ammo.
