I took my V-match apart and the handguard was almost hand tight. When I put it back, the indexing hole for the gas tube lined back up as before but now it is almost loose. How tight should the handguard be? Please email me

Thanks

Yeah, I bought this rifle as new with about 40 rounds through her. It had a Sling swivel centered on the underside. I mounted a nice Leupold and shot some malaysian 55 gr. at 100 yds to zero it. I was getting crappy groups. about 3.5-4". I dismissed it as the ammo. Last week I threaded the barrel on the lathe and when breaking it down I noticed that it was barely hand tight. When I put it back it was a little looser. I am thinking this thing should be pretty tight since it is the barrle nut too. I use the armorers AR 15 action blocks and so forth to do the job right.
