Hey Guys,

I have a Colt SP-1 lower with large hole front pivot pin & I want to put a small hole upper on it.  There must be some type of bushings that allow for this.

What parts do I need & who has them?

Thanks,
ISMO

You need what is called an offset adaptor. They cost about $7 or so. Bushmaster sells them. Go to their web site. Also, do not force the adaptor in. It is offset as the name implies and you will need a small screw driver to install it and gently rotate it into position when you install it. Your other option is to find a large hole upper. While not on every street corner they are occasionally on sale over on the Equipment Exchange.

Do yourself a favor and get the pin from CDNN. You'll be glad you did. Here's some more info from a shamayim the offset pin expert. http://www.jobrelatedstuff.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=153150&w=searchPop  I'll snail mail you the type bushmaster sells for free. It's too small to make a good target.

"Offset pin expert"? Hooray! Hooray! I finally got to be the authority on something in this world.

Thank you Lord---now I can die happy [:D}[:D]

But seriously folks, I just can't understand why Bushie, and some other folks, are still selling that POS small head unit. Thank goodness I tried the CDNN version.
