Some screencaps from Invasion USA.  What is the attachment on the M-16?  It's not an XM-184.  Is it something made up?  It looks like a pistol that's mounted and has a magazine.  In the movie it shot really big holes through sheetrock.  no way anything fed through a magazine in the grip would go through a barrel that size.

that's what i thought at first.  it's interesting how they designed it to mount on flash hider and bayonet lug, no rear support though.  not bad except for using a pistol frame with a magazine

Now that you mention it, it looks like they cut and welded an m7 bayonet on that contrivance.

ETA: When I saw this in the 80's I never realized those were SP1's. Going to have to find the opening of SWAT and see if those were SP1's.
