I was looking at another thread and wanted to see how much ACOGs were going for.  Last time I priced an ACOG TA01s around $800!
I check over on Eagle Firearms website and I was shocked:
TA01 $665
NSNs $769
TA31 $829  F $889
RCO   $959

Hell of a time to have no money

Cheers

Well I guess you could email Eagle Firearms and CS Gun Works (both are dealers here) and ask?
Or just go down the list in the Industry forum sending out emails.

Let us know what you find

Cheers

This could be bullshit, but I have been told that the minimum ACOG dealer price is always the same or higher than the Federal .gov price, and that the ACOG price has come down because the USMC bought an assload of ACOGs and negotiated a lower .gov price, allowing dealers to get that same price.

Could be bullshit, but I heard it from an AMU guy, he knew alot about shooting ACOGs but he might not know shit about buying them.

Well...I don't wanna pee in anyones cheerios but....

Mike ( CS) and Grant  (C4) were always VERY gracious and took time to share their thoughts and ideas with me. They were great guys and I hope to be able to do business with them in the future.....but...... HANDS DOWN Teknic (board dealer a few posts up) was the best price and was equally great to deal with.

Everybody's experiences may vary from dealer to dealer but John earned my business....by a decent margin no less.

EDIT: was a 31F by the way and it is on the way to me now....

I bought my TA11e from Mike and could not be happier.  I can't afford more than about a scope a year (f-ing college), but I will always go to Mike first.

I wish I knew the diff between the models.    I'd like to see something about 4x with a good low light reticle for a flattop.

All the 4x ACOGs can go on a flat top and all have good low light reticles. Some of them are better suited for target (crosshairs) and others better suited for CQB/combat type shooting (Chevron/Triangle).

Trijicon's site has a wealth of info on these. I am far from an expert on these, or anything for that matter, but the basic very short list is this:

-TA11 series is longer and heavier than the TA31 series but has more eye relief.
-TA31 series is the series selected for operators/troops by the DoD
-TA01 series has no BAC

There is much more to the decision but that is the short list...most of the rest is subjective.
