I have a vertical grip that is tightened via a screw on the bottom of the handle and it eventually works it way loose and scratches up the rail.

For my new rifle I would like to obtain a vertical grip that locks in place by another means and can't work its way loose.

Searching MidWayUSA and they provide pictures of the grips but not all the items contain a description of how they attach. Based on the images associated with each item most appear to attach via the screw at the base of the grip.

There was the Command Arms Vertical Forend Grip Ergonomic Finger Groove Handle but there wasn't any feedback on that item.

You won't go wrong with either of those.

Spendy, but 100% reliable.

I expect much less-expensive knock-offs of those designs to show up soon.

LaRue FUG. Expensive at $98, but it'll lock up rock solid.

I like the LaRue because you can change the length, and it's LaRue.

+1

Never had a problem with either of my TD QDs.
