I bought a brand new Bushmaster Carbon 15 on Thursday and went to the range Friday to get it sighted in. I shot about 50 rounds through the rifle before pulling it apart to clean it. When I pulled the bolt carrier group out I noticed the face of the bolt carrier looked like it had abnormal wear on it. It looks like alot more rounds have be shot than 50. I pulled out my other 2 AR's and pulled their BCG's and they looked like they had ALOT less wear than this one and they have 600-1000 rounds through each of them. Is this kinda wear normal?

I tried posting a picture but cant get it to upload.

That looks like the chrome lining of the bolt carrier - the inside, where the bolt resides - just a little spillover. Pretty normal (though a higher resolution pic would help).
