Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Two stage trigger question?

Once again guys, sorry for the simple question, however, I am having difficulty finding the answer to this one.

When you have installed a two stage trigger on a firearm, do you encounter both stages with one pull of the trigger, or do you find the first stage, then let up, then engage the secound stage???

I know it seems like a very elementary question, but I have failed to uncover the answer to this very simple question.
