Title says it all.  Which are better for the money?   Is the Troy worth the extra dough?

I have a set of Troys and just found out my new upper didn't ship with the Troy's I was supposed to get.  I need to know if the MI's are worth the money and if they are similar to the Troy in terms of quality and function.

Thanks,
Sean

 Huh?

I've never hanlded the MI BUIS.  I did just receive my Troy BUIS and am extremely impressed with it.  It's very small and sits lower than any other BUIS, much better than the ARMS #40A I had and the $40L my brother has.  Troy has a solid reputation here, I say get the Troy.

TRoy is an Excellant site and well respected.
However the MI is also an excellant site. MI make a lot of Quality products, no Junk and they are being used all over. I seam to remember BRAVOCO responding to a thread awhile back that they have made several sales large quantities to .MIL guys and have nothing but positive feedback.
It will be just fine.

I'd go with Troy. Mine is solid as a rock.  The MI one looks cheesy.

Sorry for the confusing start to this thread. I didn't want to appear to be bad mouthing the supplier of my upper since the absence of the Troys wasn't their fault.   I have 2 uppers.....the first one I got over a month ago.....It has the the Troys.  The 2nd one (I just received yesterday) didn't come with them as it was supposed to.

Hope that explains it and I think I'm going to wait for the Troys.

Thanks for the help.

I've have a MI front BUIS on one of my rifles and it is top quality. To my understanding the only difference is the MI protective hood is made from aluminum, the damn thing is light! The push button is different and the Troy sits just a tad lower. I went with the MI just because it's cheaper...

I work at a large gunstore that has carried basically every kind of BUIS on the market. I would say that the MI sights are WONDERFUL for the money, and I have a set on my rifle. They are smooth to operate, have a great finish, solid, well built, and are a great value. They are far from cheesy. Are the Troy sights better? Yes. However, not at 40% more money.
