I have an older reflex, the 345th one built.  When it sits on a flattop receiver the front sight post is in the left half of the glass, even when not using BUIS, though its more pronounced when using BUIS. Very annoying.
 
Is this a problem with all Reflex's or is it a bug common to older ones, or is it just my Reflex thats screwed up.  

BTW, it is accurate and holds zero no problem.

It must be the Reflex because my rear sight adjustment is just about centered (left/right) on both my rifles.
For now I keep it mounted on my FIRSH rifle cause I can cock the FIRSH to the right a little to center it up.

I had a newer Reflex a while back that had the same issue but not as bad as the older one I kept.  Thats why I was wondering if the Reflex is prone to this type of problem.

Interesting I have an 'older one' (I picked it up in 1996 or so).  I prefer the Reflex IIs because they have less of a tint (with the polorizing filter removed).

I wonder if there were tweaks to the relflective coating?

I dont know the year mine was made but it's serial number #000345.  I paid $70 for it w/ goosneck and flattop mounts off ebay.
In comparison to the triangle reflex2 I had the older one I kept was way less tinted.  They may have changed their coating process as a result of ongoing R&D and/or in response to feedback from customers.

No my Reflex doesn't have the problem.  Occassionally when I have to remove the gooseneck - when I replace it I look through the sights to verify the dot is aligned with the front sigt post.  When I get to the range I'll verify it (usually no more than 2 clicks off).

My camera sucks, but this will help illustrate what I'm talking about.
In both pictures the front sight post is in the left half of the field of view.
The first PIC is looking through BUIS (#40), the second is w/o BUIS.

I had a Reflex 2 NSN version at one time that, although not as far right as yours, did not align perfectly centered. The problem was the base was not machined correctly. The offset was about an 1/8", but noticable to the unaided eye. Still worked fine for shooting.

See where your base center line is in approximation to center of FOV window. This should tell you.
