They make titanium uppers and lowers?

Why???? They are heavier than regular upper/lower and there is no benefit to the increased weight. Aluminum receivers are plenty strong.

You are asking WHY on arfcom? Since when has that been relevant?

Billet Aluminum, or some other fancy recievers would stand out from other AR's w/o the drawbacks of Ti.

All the uppers and complete lowers are made of out aluminum. I have seen 80% lowers made of titinum and brillum copper. I would stick to a std. Upper lower combo. If you want it to std out go with a Billet upper and lower and have it bead blasted then polished too a mirror shine! PS not makeing fun of you I have seen one done that way Very Cool!

I have a stainless steel lower...The weight is there, which is fine, as im just shooting eggs at 200 yards with it.

Titanium?

I wouldn't mind a bronze receiver

And maybe add a titanium nitride finish too.

DPMS makes/made a stainless lower. Olympic was going to make a titanium lower at one point, I don't know if they ever did. The DPMS SS lowers were heavy and looked like shit. A friend of mine had one (came as a complete gun from DPMS) and the it was unreliable (don't know whether the lower was a factor or just that it was a DPMS).

Yeah, then you wouldn't be able to see all the brass nicks on the shell deflector
