Howdy from Chicagoland!
I have a Colt Lightweight Match .223 1:7 twist rifle in which I'd like to try some long range (500yd) shots. While at www.ammoman.com I saw what I'd like to shoot, an 80gr XM193A1, but he warned against shooting it in a non-throated gun.
Please help me. Is my Colt Lightweight Match .223 a "Throated Match gun"?

I don't think it is.

Try the Hornady 75gr. TAP or Black Hills 75gr.
