I'm nowhere near DFW, but USPS and a couple days will get your barrel to me and then it will be threaded and sent back in a few days...

I'd like to know someone local too. I think I talked to that Matt guy at Winchester once and he wanted to charge me something like $20 just to install the tritium sites on my glock, CheaperThanDirt sold the same sites five bucks cheaper and installed them for free.

I'm getting ready to send my barrel to AR15barrels.com. I've never used them before but I spoke with Randall over the phone and he was very nice. They also have reasonable prices and promise quick turnaround. For what it's worth.

I am also leaning toward Randall. From what I can tell, he knows his stuff. I stopped by elk castle and they wanted the entire rifle. They wouldn't let me just leave the upper with them.
