Any personal experience is welcome. I want a FF rail for my current midlength build. I like DD's but the price is just more than I can spend.

I use a TRX Standard and an MRF-308.

Not the particular ones youre looking for but theyre both rock solid.

I wouldnt hesitate.

The TRX comes as a one piece rail (correct me if I'm wrong) with a proprietary barrel nut.  It is secured by two cross bolts on the bottom rail that tighten around the barrel nut.

The MRF-MX10, which I have, comes as two halves and secures to a standard barrel nut.  When the top and bottom rails are assembled and line up properly, there are four screws that secure them together.  You get a little less rail towards the rear on the sides with the MRF.

I have a 9" on on an AR-15.  It works well and locks up very solid.  The upside is that it is more or less drop in.  I found cutting off the delta ring can be sort of a pain.  I am happy with it, but I like having a upper vice block and barrel wrench more.  I put the MRF on my first AR when I bought a complete upper.

Sounds good. Hopefully I can finally put my build together (for the most part).

Have you looked at the Midwest Industries Rails? I put the carbine 10in FF rail on my Bushmaster ORC and all you need to do is cut off the delta ring. It is a two piece system that attaches to your existing barrel nut. Great quality and rock solid for about $224.00.

Just realized you said mid-length not carbine.
