Is it difficult? How do you do it?
What tool do you need, and where can i find it cheap?

Thanks in advance!

Do you mean removing the buffer tube and fixed stock assembly?

it's easy, you just need a telestock wrench and they're everywhere for about $5 and up.

If you are trying to salvage the tube and only take off the "stock" dont bother.  The tubes are cheap.  RRA are only $15 plus shipping.

I want to replace it with one of those 7.25" ace skeleton stocks

I think that those are built on standard buffer tubes.  Ive seen some offered with the tube and some without, be careful what you order.  Get a spanner wrench and loosen the locking nut all the way.  Pull the plate back to the locking nut.  WATCH for the rear takedown pin detent spring, which is held by the plate.  Unscrew stock, drink a few beers, all is well.
