OK guys, check this out.  It doesn't really do much for me in the AR-15, but in the M1 Carbine it's quite a powerhouse.  Originally designed by Robin Church at Cloud Mountain Armory, the cartridge is a 50AE with a 7.62x39 head.  Ho, Hum....a short Beowulf.  But the Beowulf is too long for the M1 Carbine, and the rim on the 50AE is a bit large for the M1 Carbine.  Robin puts it in an AR, but I think it's more appropriate in an M1 Carbine.

This is a Universal M1 carbine which I modified to run the 502 Thunder Sabre.  I have a small run of brass now, but Cloud Mountain should have 50,000 cases from Starline by Christmas.

You can still get Universal carbines for about $300 bucks, so this conversion should come in less than an AR and still give you plenty of power to drop those pesky deer.

Yes, I know LeMag did the 45 WinMag in years past, but that conversion is gone now.

If you want the 502 in the AR-15, Robin's website is www.bigborecanyon.com  I'll stick with the 50AE in the AR myself.

Edited because I am a computer dumb-ass......I used to post pics with "brakets IMG" with a slash on the back end, but it doesn't work that way anymore.  Could one of you computer weenies please send me an e-mail and tell me how to get the pic to show up "hot".  E-mail me at [email protected]   Thank You.

You almost had it right - next time put the text that is in the "Image Link:" field in the IMG brackets.
