Cool, it even has a sling keeper that would work with my HK hook on my sling. Does the hardware come with it, the pin that goes in where the old sling mount was?

Yes, it's all included.



Why the set screw?



Looks like it would engage the barrel from underneath as a means of tightening up the mount and stability (for rail mounted accessories).
