I have some surplus 7.62 that's 20 years old and was wondering if I should upgrade it to get
best accuracy.  How much has it degraded over 2 decades?
I do not really notice anything abnormal, it's under 2MOA as far as I can tell, but wonder how much velocity it has lost and if it has become less consistent than new ammo.

I want the best non-match 7.62, I am thinking new production Lake City FMJ.

How was it stored?  I wouldn't expect much degredation if stored correctly.

20 years ain't shit for surplus is stored correctly.  How exzactly would you upgrade this ammo?  If it's grouping 2 inches, what are you complaining about?  That's good surplus.  It ain't match ammo so go and shoot it up.
