I really like the price per cartridge, but I'm not familiar with the performance/quality of Malaysian surplus.
http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=A308M I was considering either this or RADWAY/DAG/MEN at a slightly higher cost. Has anyone shot this stuff? Should I just be safe and go German? |

Don't know about 7.62, but I have some really old Malay 5.56 which I pull out from time to time to shoot...and it's fine.
I think it's 80's manufacture IIRC...I've been sitting on it for at least 10+ years. |

I've enjoyed all the malay ammo I've gotten over the years. Full power, clean, good plinking ammo.

We fired about 5000 rounds of it through two 1919's with no issues. Can't comment of the accuracy for obvious reasons but it all went "bang".....

I picked up a few thousand round, and have put about 500 through my OBR. No issues with the ammo, and accuracy isn't too bad.

Its OK, but the most accurate surplus 7.62 out there right now is German DAG or MEN
