I see alot of information on surplus 308, but never very much on surplus 30 06.

Where is the best place to purchase good military surplus 30 06?

The CMP has both Greek and USGI surplus. You have to be a member of the CMP to get it. Also check out Aim surplus they have some 80s dated Korean stuff in garand clips. They may also have some in 20 rd boxes.

I have found some of that korean 30-06 to be quite accurate for regular ball ammo, try it, you might like it, I did. There's both corrosive and non-corrosive Korean out there, the stuff headstamped KA is corrosive.

There are certain lots of Korean ammo one needs to be careful of and keep away from. I have had very good luck with it tho. I ALWAYS ask for the lot number first. AIM has been very good and has always checked for me before I got it. The 384 rounds on Clips [garand] is from the 80s, and is real nice stuff. NOT corrosive. They DO have KA stuff also but I do not shoot it. PS is what you want. Aussie is good stuff also and so is port. I have never had a problem with Korean ammo myself, and the price is good. Boxer primed also.

The Korean stuff is only good if you get the PS headstamp. Try the PS 79. I got some from AIM about a year ago and it's pretty good. Cleaner than I expected and hot. It seemed hotter than the LC 69 that I got from the cmp.

Korean PS is very good stuff. Accurate, good brass, and cheap.
