I just purchased a surefire G2, got it out of the package and started to shine it around seeing how bright it was etc. I turned it off and tried to turn it back on and nothing happened. It was just dead, the bulb looked good and the batteries were brand new. I cant find anything wrong with any of the internals, so am I overlooking something or should I send it back?

Same thing happened to me and was resolved with a quick email to Surefire. No questions asked, new lamp sent out ASAP.

Well, a call was made to Surefire and it looks like I'll be getting a replacement bulb assembly in 2-3 weeks. thanks for the replies all

Surefire problem


I did the same thing...called Surefire for replacement bulb and it's been 2 weeks now...no new bulb received yet.

Let me know how yours went.

Khadre, I'll be sure to let you know how it turns out. I cant remember hearing anything bad about Surefire's CS, so hopefully your lamp is in the mail. Let me know if anything goes wrong with getting the new bulb. But I'm thinking we will be ok

It appears that when surefire sends out replacement parts they are generally sent out us mail parcel post and can take between 2-3 weeks after being sent to arrive, if it takes longer then 3 weeks or so give surefire a call so they can check on your repair item.

Well my replacement P60 lamp got here yesterday, and works great. It took about a week from when surefire was called till I actually got my stuff. This thing is bright as hell! A nice +1 to surefire for their quick, hassle free replacement!
