OK, guys. I carry my AR on duty all the time, and the Surefire M500 was a MUST. (Just no way to clear a house or search for someone without one!!) Anyway, I really want some kinda vertical foregrip, but the M500 appears to have two metal layers in the bottom 1/2 of the foregrip.

Anyone ever mounted a vertical grip on one of these? If so, what kinda grip was it and how did you mount it?

Thanks,

dahugo

If you use the vertial grip how would you use the pressure switch too? Seems like an either or situation to me.

sell the 500 and buy the 900

I put a GGG rail and foregrip on mine and found out the above. It is great for qual at the range, poor option for light and move tactics. I upgraded to a KAC M4RAS with a SF 962C. I'm happy now.

You have received some good advice above. The M500A and a vertical grip just doesn't work out well. I went through the same process, selling the M500A and going with the M900A and RAS II. Frankly, it probably wasn't worth the trouble. Watch-Six
