I did a search and I'm sure this comes up time and time again, but what exactly is the weight difference between the superlight/lightweight 16" carbine barrel and the HBAR 16" carbine barrel?
I don't plan to bumpfire and I will use a FFHG with some vent holes. If the HBAR isn't that much heavier and doesn't offset the balance, I may just go with that. But I needed some expert opinions and advice first. Thanks in advance

This might be a stupid question, but I don't see the government profile 16" carbine barrel on Bushmaster's barrel page. Is the Patrolman's carbine barrel the same?

yea, i think that the patrolman bbl is M4 cut of your choices: i would get the lightweight the HBAR, while the best looking is just excess weight (i found that out the hard way) |

The light weight barrel weighs less.
 Heats up quicker, cools down faster. Makes holding your AR15 for long periods of time easier. You can whip the gun around and move about in close quarters easier. You need to try one out yourself to see the difference. |

Will there be any difference in accuracy between the 16", 16" M4, and 16" superlight (disregarding basic manufacturing differences)

Groups might open up slightly and move vertically in a lightweight barrel. Inside of 300m it wont turn a hit on a torso sized target into a miss.

How sturdy is the barrel? Obviously not as stiff as a HBAR but I'm curious nonetheless.

Unless you're using your firearm as a pry bar, you'll be okay with a super light.

Plenty sturdy. The old stories about bent pencil barrels were myths, as Colonel Lutz explained here. |

The M4 cuts under the hand guards are for reduced weight. The little one forward of the front sight is for mounting a grenade launcher.

and the one with the m4 profile under the handguards is just on the m4 dissapator.
i have about 4 superlight bbl.s and love them, all work great and have never had any problems with excessive heat or bending. of course none of these bbls sit on a full auto lower but semi they work great. |

 It sufficed as the barrel profile for this country for 20 years. Handled airborne ops and avg grunts. It will handle what you can throw at it.Accuracy wise it's just as good as my M4s. |

I could not pick so I went with the best of both worlds ...16" H-bar FLUTED chrome lined from bushy

Bushmaster's out of stock for at least 4 weeks for the 16" barrels. Same with CMMG.
RRA only has R4 profile which is basically 16" w/ M4 cuts. I may have to go with DPMS but they're not chrome lined. |
