Since everybody is comparing these to the Aimpoints anyway, could ya do a side-by-side evaluation and post the results?

Thanks. We all know which one is going to come out on top as far as durability, battery life, etc, but it would be interesting to see how the optics, adjustments, reticle clarity & brightness, etc compare.

This looks exactly like that sight Burris is marketing, just without the Burris logo on it. I could be totally wrong, but didn't you bash the shit out of that one Grant?

Looks like a cheap knock off to me.

I think "Grantpoint" is fitting.

I am a burris scope fan (black diamond to be exact). So I think you are mistaking me with someone else.

My problem is that folks believe that they can get Aimpoint's quality, run time and durability out of a $150 optic (doesn't happen).

C4

Well I might be mistaken, and I agree that you can't get Aimpoint quality from something that inexpensive. I just thought you'd bashed it in another thread, or took offense to people thinking it might be a suitible low cost alternative, especially compared to the TACPOINT.

So this is about money then? If "Grant and Cheap" do not go together then you are selling these because you think you are loosing money to the knock off market.

So much for principles...what a shame.

Where did you see me selling these??? EE?? My website??? Nope not a single place! I got one strictly to take a look at and nothing more.

C4

I stand corrected.

One of the things I do not like about the Tacpoint is that is not anywhere near as bright as an Aimpoint on it's highest settings. If the extra 6 settings get the brightness up to Aimpoint standards this might be a better choice for a low cost red dot.

With 2" dots in vogue now I'm surprised they went with a 4". That is so 2004 and behind the arfcom power curve.

Shoot me if I am wrong.....but isnt that the same exact scope as the "EXTREME TACTICAL SUPER DUPER BLACK OPS NINJA" scope that Burris is marketing?

Any way anyone can post pics of both of them here? I cant from my work computer.....

Thought I saw that on ebay too......under AIRSOFT!

Give it some abuse and post the range report.

No, Burris' is 3MOA and looks a bit idff. For a plinker I'm curious about the Burris'.

I think that knob on the side would be a HUGE improvement for the Aimpoint, don't you think? I guess it's a give and take because with that knob you have the shitty batteries, right Grant, they are the disk type batteries that NCStar and all of those lit-reticle scope use?

I just think that the Aimpoint knob would be very impossible to use with gloves, some, not all.

Discounts? You do discounts? As in less than your site price?

Damnit!

I'll be curious to see one mounted on a rifle.

I'm also thinking that if you wring one out Grant, and it works well, this might just be the ticket on the LM7 for my M16 when I get one.

Not any longer! Full retail + 10% is my new policy.

C4

Since I've been paying you're full retail all along, can I get an exemption on the 10%?

That might be a bit overpowering in low light. My old Aimpoint 3000 (on a Winchester 94/22) is like that and it's way to much as the light fades.

Hmm, well since your friends with "Dinger" you get a surcharge of 20%!

C4

Although, I'm sure Dinger is a nice fellow, I can honestly say I've never met the man.
