Hi, I have an opportunity to purchase a Superior lower receiver at a pretty low price. I see several builds on here that have used these, so I am assuming they are quality receivers. But to be sure, I'd like to here opinions of some of you.

BTW, thanks to those of you that answered my question on steel magazines.

Just built my first AR using a superior lower. Went together great, nice finish and overall quality. Rollmarks are a little weak but for the price you cant beat them. I say go for it Im very happy with mine.

I have 2 builds on Superior lowers, and another lower on the way right now.  The two I have are excellent.  Nice and black, no ugly machine marks.  Zero problems.

I have two.  The quality seems as good as any.  I would recommend them, especially for the price.

The trigger set screw doesn't really excite me.

Yea I wish the set screw was an option. I just did three builds on superior arms lowers, and took the set screw out on all of them. Otherwise a nice reciever for the money.

I'm Happy with mine.  The front take-down detent hole seems to be a bit deeper and makes installation of th front take down detent and spring a shade easier than the average lower.

Teh previous posts pretty much seem to sum up my experience with regard to the finish and roll marks.  I kind of like the setscrew.

I wonder if that is why I didn't understand all of this launching detent talk and giant zip lock bag non-sense. My front pin went in without any problems, I thought I did it wrong after reading about people losing detents.

I have two SA lowers and they get the job done. The finish is rought to the touch. The color matches good with my Del-Ton uppers. They are decent lowers for the price. My second lower only cost $91 shipped from RBPrecision.

The trigger screw doesn't really do much for me. I tested the trigger pull without the screw in at all and then made the adjustments. It didn't seem to do anything. I screwed it in until the safety wouldn't move and then backed it out until it did move. I'm thinking my trigger didn't need adjusting. It is a nice feature if you do have a bad trigger.
