Living behind the iron curtain here in NJ leaves few choices.  So how does the Sully feel for a close range gun (0-50y) without body armor ?

Thanks.

I have one and I really like it.  I have a kit ordered and I added a Sully stock to it.   It is very solid and feels good.

Personally no love here. However many others are very content with them.
Then again I am almost 6'4" so the LOP is not there for me.
Also in a ban state it may be an option for min length requiements.

much love for the Sully stock here. I use mine with the optional spacer, and it is perfect. very hefty, and balances the rifle more in my opinion. Sally and Greg are awesome people to do business with.

If you are one to unnecessarily play with the an adjustable stock and are small enough to have no need for the full extension then sully's a great

It's 1" longer than the standard spacer.

I have one on my patrol rifle and have been waiting (im)patiently the last couple years for the sully shotgun stocks.

Have you tried a surplus A1stock  or one of the Cav Arms polymer A1 stocks???  IMO a better all around stock unless your a narc kickin' in doors with the SWAT guys... then the Sully rules.

Well –– I'm thinking the standard length (Sully) wouldn't work for me.  But The 1" spacer and a sling adapter should hit the sweet spot I'm looking for.  The A1 length is my prefered magnified optic length.  But for a handy carbine with a red dot, I want something shorter.

I believe that a Sully with the 1" spacer is the same as an A1 stock. If you need it shorter, then you need the Sully without the spacer, which is the same as an entry length A2 style stock. I like the Sully because it is rock solid and the weight balances the rifle. If you just want something at a specific LOP, then there are less expensive options available.

Entry stock is shortest, right around 7" or 7.25" IIRC.

Sully is 8.1", and with added 1" spacer, becomes 9.1".  Add a receiver extension sling mount to either, and stock length increases by about 0.25".

A1 is 9.8".

A2 is 10.5" approx.
