Are these available, and are they as good as the surfire lights?

They are not nearly as rugged as other lights on the market.

They're available... And fragile, and heavy. Nowhere near the quality of the Surefire lights.

I've owned one since there where only two choices in rifle weaponlights: SF Classic and the VLI. After using my VLI for a while, I decided it wasn't for me, and it's been in my parts bin ever since. I bought a Surefire 660 afterwards (I now own several MU series lights) and haven't looked back.
