I have a couple of the Twin-Task lights in use and the 2L is definitely my favorite. The 2L does an excellent job in xenon mode though it won't quite compare with the Streamlight Scorpion or the SureFire P60 powered lights. In the xenon mode it gives an excellent bright white light and in LED mode it gives you good navigation visibility, good reading light or close in work light for simple task. The light is very comfortable but after being so used to SF lights & the Scorpions the switch being located on the bezel is a bit awkward feeling.
Though I have admittedly grown addicted to the smaller lights the 3C Twin-Task & the 3AA Luxeon Task Light are also two favorites out of the new series.
If any of you have seen or are interested in the new Streamlight NightFighter NF-2 they are also nice lights. Here's my personal two cents -
The NF-2 features an adjustable spot-to-flood focus with a non-protruding tailcap switch to decrease the chance of accidental activation. It's a momentary push button tailcap switch which rotates for constant on. The NF-2 has a fully adjustable grip ring for using with handgun/combat lighting techniques. And like the Scorpion's do, the NF-2 comes with a spare bulb contained within the light. It also has a removable pocket clip & also comes with an adjustable wrist lanyard.

Though the NF-2 is rated at 100 Lumens the rating might should be pushed downward a bit. The one I have in use does compare to the standard Surefire P60 lamp which is rated 65 lumens but after being properly focused the NF-2 only achieves a slight edge. With the ability to focus the NF-2 you can increase the range a bit over a P60 powered light but only marginally. The NF2 does do a great job and with it being 30% cheaper than a G2Z (plus it having a spare lamp) it’s an excellent value for anyone wanting the combat type grip ring feature, lanyard and/or pocket clip. Or for those simply wanting something more affordable than other comparable SF models.
