Both of these lights are advertised at 125 lumens, but the SF uses 3 batteries, while the Streamlight uses only 2.  How is this done?  Are they really as bright as each other?  The difference in cost is significant.  What's up here?

Our guys really like the X series lights because they provide more light than our issue 552 6V surefires and they are far lighter and more compact.   I don't know how to compare them with a foregrip/light combo though.  They aren't a forward grip.  

The M900 is not a great idea IMO (it is a very long grip that is located well below the CG and creates a typsy package.)  The Surefire Scout lights with LED lamps sound like a better idea to me.
